The Brendan Online External Studies Program enables a believer to get Bible and basic theological training in a self-paced manner. The program consists of both personal enrichment and earning of educational credentials.
One course complete with student outlines, audio or video classes, handouts, books, and a Credit Packet can be ordered and completed online. Courses are $79 each. A one-time registration fee of $39 is paid upon registration in the program. Book fees are separate and vary from $10-25 per course. Upon completion of each course a student receives a Certificate of Completion. Students may also work toward a Certificate of Biblical Studies, Certificate of Theological Studies, Certificate of Leadership Studies, Certificate of Ministerial Studies, Diploma of Biblical and Theological Studies, Diploma of Christian Leadership & Ministry, and an Associates of Christian Ministry award.
Using the growing 21st Century paradigm in education, you are able to complete your education on your own time, at your own pace, in your own home or office, and determine your own schedule. You decide when and how to study. This proven method of study, along with excellent course content, has proved a valuable tool in educating many now serving in various capacities of Christian service. The External Studies program offers an answer to prayer and opportunity of a lifetime.

Each course is comprised of a student syllabus that provides a description of the course purpose and content as well as a Guided Learning Packet to aid in note taking and movement through the course. In addition, each course has audio or video training that contain the course material as taught in an actual classroom setting. Some courses contain additional material. A textbook is required for each course and helps to “round out” the course material. You will need to have these things as you begin your course.
Once you have enrolled in the course, paid online, and received your login info, order any required material and then arrange a regular time to complete your studies. You will listen to the audio material and follow along in your syllabus, taking notes using the outline. It is best to do only a few classes at a time at most in order to maximize your learning and prevent fatigue. You will need quiet distraction free environment and online access. Complete the course at a pace that is comfortable for you. Once you have completed all of the lessons in the course, and have reviewed any lesson needing more attention, you will complete an “End of Course Report”. (On occasion, another type of test may be required). This report will be submitted to the Brendan office for verification, grading, and award of credit.

Make notes in your textbook as God speaks into your heart. Use a highlighter, pen, or pencil to mark areas of key importance or interest. Upon completion of reading the book, you will complete a “Book Report”. This report will included with the “End of Course Report” submitted to the Brendan office for credit.
The Credit Packet is enclosed on the online classroom page for every course and is a vital link to the student receiving credit for their course work. The Credit Packet contains all documentation necessary to be awarded credit for completing a course.
You will be sent a certificate of completion and final grade once we receive your Credit Packet. You should allow up to 4-6 weeks for receiving your certificate of completion and final grade.

They serve in order to experience Christ working through them in a practical way as well as to incorporate the skills and tools they have acquired in Brendan courses. This service is vital to the overall program objectives. This service may be in any area of Christian service in the church, a ministry, or an outreach program.
For each 16 hours of documented service, a student will earn 1 credit toward the diploma programs. This service will be documented on the Christian Ministry Hours Form. It can be completed and submitted to the Brendan office at any time during your course of study. It will be required before the award of a diploma.

In addition, a ministry supervisor must verify the service by providing their signature. This form will then be sent to the Brendan main office for documentation and award of credit. You will receive 1 practical ministry credit for each 16 hours served.
